This is our mission:To preach the Gospel; to teach and
equip succeeding generations to continue in Christ's ministry; to minister
to the needs of humanity out of love.
In baptism we enter into a relationship with God through the
death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is our call to be God's
children and members of the mystical Body of Christ, which is the Church.
Members of the Body of Christ are co-heirs with Christ. The
gift of eternal life, offered freely through Jesus Christ, carries with it
the responsibility of continuing Christ's mission on earth.
The people of God participate in Christ's ministry by sharing
their gifts of time, talent and treasure. Our gifts build up our local
parish, the diocesan community of faith and the Church worldwide. Just
as God depends upon the Body of Christ to fulfill Christ's work on earth, so
too we depend upon one another to be the Church, a unified community of
believers. Stewardship of our lives and our resources enables the
community of faith to live out God's love in the world.
